So today was quite a quiet drive looking at tracks and birds. We then went through twin rock open area where we spotted KFC our cheetah girl. She was frolicking on a warm sand patch, she looked like a kitten rolling over in the sand legs flexed up in the air. She didn't care that we were even there just acting like a home cat enjoy the pure sunshine. She looked majestic like a queen and extremely relaxed as she rose and continued on her way. The rest of the drive was very smooth as, we don't get to see KFC like that or as close every day so we enjoy the rewards receive.

This afternoons drive we were also rewarded with a special sighting of KFC sitting underneath a Black Monkey Orange tree. She was looking cozy in the little shade patch hiding from the sun bearing down. We were able to walk towards her little hide away and take photos from about 3 metres away. She didn't even blink an eyelid upon our approach and just gave us a yawn instead. Her face was looking directly at us but looking straight through us to the beyond. She has a beautiful round face with a gentle grin and kind hearted soul. The rest of our drive was followed up with phuza at Big croc dam with dimming light taken of the water and trees around the edge. We finished up by viewing the lionesses and cubs. It was the first time I had seen the rest of the pride, they were resting by Lisa's dam. There was one subadult by the waters edge while the rest were further up on the bank. Another sub adult was resting its head upon a log it was a good photo opp. My camera was about to die but the trick of taking out the battery and putting it back in worked. Yippee. I was able to get the photos I wanted. Today was peaceful and serene.
